Blah blah! is a Chrome extension made by Matt Pollitt at Swper. It runs in your browser, on linkedin.com only, and reads the text of the posts and comments on the page, and of a post you’re writing, so it can score them and mark them. None of that text leaves your machine: there is no analytics, no telemetry, no remote server and no code loaded from anywhere but the extension package. The only things it stores, locally through Chrome’s storage API, are your settings (on or off, and the sensitivity for each category) and a count of the posts you rescued this month, meaning drafts it flagged that went out clean; uninstalling the extension removes both. It doesn’t decide whether something was written by AI. It matches phrases that read like LinkedIn, whoever wrote them; it’s a heuristic and it’s wrong sometimes, so don’t use it to accuse anyone of anything. Current as of .
